Overview of MATC Employment Benefits 

Standard Benefit Package for Administrators / Professional Staff & Faculty

Paid Leave Time

Personal Leave: 2 Days for Faculty and Staff. (Allows up to 5 days of carryover per year).

Sick Leave: 10 Days for Faculty and Exempt Staff, 12 Days for Non-Exempt Staff (90 days carryover).
Vacation Leave: 20 days for Exempt Staff, 12 Days for Non-Exempt Staff (30 days carryover).
Paid Holidays as determined by MATC academic calendar (22 days for FY25)
Regular Part-Time Employees receive prorated paid leave and extended holiday pay.
Catastrophic Leave Bank pay is available to employees for unforseen medical emergencies (Policy 7.8.3)

Health Insurance Coverage

Blue Cross Blue Shield. Blue Select - Option A

  • $500 deductible per person ($1,000 for family)
  • 20% coinsurance w/ $1,000 out-of-pocket maximum per person ($2,000 for family).
  • Total out-of-pocket max is $1,500 per person ($3,000 for family).
  • College pays 100% of employee premium (benefit value for FY25 = $11,796)

Blue Cross Blue Shield. Blue Select - Option B

  • $1,000 deductible per person ($2,000 for family)
  • 20% coinsurance w/ $1,000 out-of-pocket maximum per person ($2,000 for family).
  • Total out-out-of-pocket max is $2,000 per person ($4,000 for family).
  • College pays 100% of employee premium (benefit value for FY25 = $11,531

Blue Cross Blue Shield. Blue Select - Option C

  • $1,500 deductible per person ($3,000 for family)
  • 20% coinsurance w/ $1,000 out-of-pocket maximum per person ($2,000 for family).
  • Total out-out-of-pocket max is $2,500 per person ($5,000 for family).
  • College pays 100% of employee premium (benefit value for FY25 = $11,293
Spouse, Children, and Family coverages available at regular premium cost minus employee cost

403(b) Retirement Plan

  • $1,000 Annual Employer Match for contributions of $83.33 or more per month
  • 100% Employer Match Vested at 5 years

Kansas Public Employees Retirement System (KPERS)

  • 6% of covered employee salary is automatically vested in KPERS.
  • Contributions to KPERS earn minimum 4% annual interest guaranteed.
  • 5 year vesting for guaranteed retirment benefits even if you leave KPERS employment.

Tuition Reimbursement

Tuition Reimbursement Assistance up to $500 per semester after 6 months of employment
